ERC Adjusts Plan to Procure 3 Additional Spot LNG Shipments in Response to Middle East Situation, Emphasizes National Energy Security

Dr. Poolpat Leesombatpaiboon, Secretary-General of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Office and ERC spokesperson, revealed that at the 8/2569 meeting (998th meeting) on March 4, 2569, the situation and impacts from Middle East unrest were assessed to plan fuel management and maintain national electricity system security. The meeting approved adjusting the plan to procure an additional 3 Spot LNG shipments, scheduled for delivery during March-April 2569.
